When you sweat in the sauna, your body loses so-called water-soluble minerals (vitamins), which should be replenished as quickly as possible in order to restore a certain balance. Folic acid, B vitamins and the important vitamin C, which is responsible for the immune system, are sweated out in the sauna. With this after-sauna smoothie, you can replenish your mineral reserves and promote the beneficial sauna effect.

Ingredients

2 nectarines, 300ml apple juice, 2 tablespoons sugar, 1 banana, 400 g raspberries, 1 teaspoon lemon juice, some fresh peppermint leaves
 

preparation

1. Quarter the nectarines and remove the stones. Heat the apple juice without boiling, stir in the sugar, add the nectarines, remove from the heat and let it steep for a few minutes.
 
2. Peel the banana, cut into pieces, clean the raspberries and put some aside.
 
3. Add the remaining raspberries and the banana to the apple juice, puree everything with the nectarines and season with lemon juice.
 
4. Pour the smoothie into glasses and chill for at least an hour. Serve garnished with raspberries and fresh mint leaves. If you like, you can also serve it with some sour cream.
